Write Text Pattern With Phone Format

Phone format templates and actions format your phone numbers according to a specific format, such as the phone numbers national format, international format for the number, E.164 or RFC3966.

Use actions in the custom automation builder to utilize the Phone Format actions.

Usage

Use the message box to input your text pattern into the automation template, or action in a custom automation. The date format field accepts a string of text that defines how dates will be formatted in the text pattern.


Phone Format

Four phone formats are available:
  1. National - this is the standard formatting of the number based on the country of the number, for the US this would be (555) 555-1234.
  2. International - this is the standard formatting of the number with country code, for the US this would be +1 555 555 1234.
  3. E.164 - is the International Telephone Union numbering scheme, which a US number would be +15555551234.
  4. RFC3966 - this provides a URI for the telephone number: tel:+15555551234 used in VoIP systems.
